I thought that was the location that all of my exes were banished to upon breakup; turns out, it’s actually just a gorgeous place in Northern Iceland.
Travel
Tell me why there is better cell service in Iceland than in The Hamptons?
I’ve been obsessed with visiting Deplar Farm for the past two and a half years. What I love about places like Deplar Farm is that they feel like a reward. It’s not the easiest place to get to—and that’s part of the magic. Once you arrive, you’re completely immersed in this stunning, untouched landscape. They have mastered this perfect balance of adventure and wellness—one day you’re hiking to a waterfall or surfing in the Arctic Ocean, the next you’re floating in a geothermal pool or relaxing in a glass walled sauna looking out at the landscape. And the food? Insane. Fresh, local, thoughtful, and so, so good.
But what really makes it special is the vibe. It feels like staying at a friend’s incredibly chic and cozy, beautifully designed house. Everything’s intentional but still relaxed. The communal meals are one of my favorite parts—everyone gathers around these long tables, and you end up meeting the most interesting people from all over the world. Different backgrounds, different lives, but we all have in common this curiosity and love for finding special places off the beaten path. You end up having these incredible conversations and connecting in a way that feels rare and organic. It’s the kind of experience that stays with you long after you leave.
I swam in the Arctic Ocean. I ate shark. I held my breath for 1.5 minutes during a Viking Sauna Ritual. I saw the Northern Lights. I spent an hour in a sensory deprivation tank. It was incredible. I already can’t wait for the day I get to return.
Film
In anticipation of the Oscar’s this Sunday, I’m giving you my 4 favorite films as if I am being interviewed on the red carpet by Letterboxd:
Fashion
The name on every cool girls lower back in pilates right now: Adanola. Adanola nails the balance of style, comfort, and versatility. Their minimal design and lightweight, flattering fit make their pieces perfect not just for the studio but beyond — you can pair one of their cute knit polos with denim, just as easily as you can pair their leggings (these are my favorite) with a chunky knit. The leggings are the perfect length (no bunching under my grip socks!), the price point feels reasonable for the quality, and their colorways are finally pushing me out of my all-black workout wardrobe in the best way. Georgia, founder of TERA Studio & Pilates Club (one of my current favorite studios), was wearing this cozy hoodie in class recently, and I’m patiently waiting for it to come back in stock.

Food
A restaurant that I can’t stop thinking about is Le Veau d’Or. I get a cozy warm feeling inside just thinking about the dinner I had there in December. It’s shockingly unpretentious for being one of the most decadent (and expensive) meals I’ve had in recent memory. The food? Impeccable. The service? Warm and top-notch. The cocktails? Strong and delicious. Add in the red-and-white checkered tablecloths and that perfectly old-school, cozy vibe — the kind of place you settle into and never want to leave (and trust, we stayed for hours). An absolute gem and a must try if you have a special occasion or celebration.
Current Obsession
My new shearling lined Miu Miu x New Balance sneaker-mule hybrid shoes. If you think they’re ugly, go tell somebody in private; I won’t tolerate any slander at this time.
On My Radar
It pains me that so many great spots are opening above 14th street, ugh…
Santi, the fancy new Italian spot in Midtown from chef Michael White (formerly of Marea, Ai Fiori and Osteria Morini)
Chez Fifi, the new French bistro from the Sushi Noz team in an Upper East Side townhouse
Crevette, the new WV seafood restaurant from the team behind Lord’s and Dame
BonBon, the Swedish candy store, is opening a new location in the West Village on Greenwich Ave. The BonBon vs Lil Sweet Treat debate is hot in my group chat right now…I’m hoping the new neighborhood competition forces LST to step it up with their store design; their aesthetic is fluorescent jail cell, while BonBon is more Willy-Wonka-meets-Wes-Anderson (As my friends say: if LST doesn’t have any haters, then I’m dead).
Until next week -
