Culture
If I had a dollar for every time I became a museum member just to skip a line, I’d have $3 - which feels like both too much and not enough. I’ve been eagerly awaiting the reopening of The Frick Collection, and when I saw they were offering member preview days the week before opening to the public, I did the girl math and signed up immediately. Worth it. The museum is my ideal size - just enough to feel cultured without the existential dread of being trapped inside a never-ending labyrinth (coughMet Museumcough). The second floor of the historic mansion is now open to the public for the first time, and truly, nothing gets me quite like a well-preserved staircase and lush antique velvet upholstery. The Frick is elegant, intimate, and a reminder that I need to get out of my downtown bubble and head above 14th street more often.
Fashion
Patiently awaiting the new Loewe Paula’s Ibiza drop on 4/17. These early sneak peek pics I saw on IG have me dreaming of a Mediterranean summer asap:

Food
Da Toscano has been on my list for ages and I finally made it there. The atmosphere is much moodier than I expected - I always pictured it to be more of a Gene’s type of old school Italian spot, but I was very wrong (and pleasantly surprised)! Skip the gimmicky dipping tortellini appetizer, and instead order extra main pastas (the Fazzoletti alla Genovese was particularly heavenly). It’s a great spot to take parents or friends visiting from out of town, and is yet another excellent Italian spot nearby to add to my rotation.
I went to Kiko last weekend, and I have no idea why no one’s talking about it - because they absolutely should be. Warm, cozy vibes, insanely good food, and the Maine Lobster Crispy Rice? Do not skip it. People are fully sleeping on this place.
Current Obsession
My growing bag charm collection:
TV
The White Lotus finale was sooo predictable and corny, and that’s all I’ll say on that. #Justice4Chelsea
On My Radar
Opto, a new Mediterranean restaurant in Flatiron
Obvio, a very chic looking bar from the Casa Cruz team in Nomad
Hoexter’s, yet another buzzy UES restaurant brought back from the dead. I love the maximal, bold style of Sasha Bikoff, the interior designer responsible for the revamp, so I’m eager to try
New music coming soon from Lorde, the final boss of the recession popapocalypse
Until next week -

Lo
Wait I too thought Da Toscano was a fancy Genes…location and name isn’t promising but I trust you!
Why did they have to do us so dirty with that finale? I’m still in my feels over Chelsea.
Mike White better find a way to bring her back.
